South Hadley resident has been one of best female amateur golfers in region during the last three decades; qualified for U.S. Senior Women’s Amateur (2007, ’09) and U.S. Women’s Public Links (1995) championships; semifinalist at 1998 WGAM Amateur championship has competed at likes of Women’s Eastern Amateur and New England Amateur championships; set course records at Longmeadow CC and Ledges GC in South Hadley; fired 5-under-par 67 at Longmeadow CC, finishing second at WGAM’s Keyes Cup stroke play championship in 1997; posted 71 at Ledges GC in 2006; once held course record at Orchards (71); has won 10 women’s club championships at Orchards GC and one at Amherst GC; longtime captain for Orchards GC in WGAM Spring Team Matches; member at Orchards GC and Wyckoff CC has four holes-in-one; Boston native is an accomplished cellist; professor of classics at Assumption College in Worcester; Mount Holyoke College grad with masters and doctorate degrees from Penn; husband Alistair is a 2008 Western Mass. Golf Hall of Fame inductee.
